Regeneration of Lower Dysart, Kirkcaldy

INTRODUCTION

Fife Housing Association are working in partnership with the Muir Group and Fife Council as part of the regeneration of Dysart Town Centre. The Scottish Government will be providing Housing Association Grant (HAG) funding for Fife Housing Association and there will also be funding from a variety of other sources.

PHASE 1

Fife Housing Association will develop several small sites in a phase 1 programme between Quality Street and High Street in Lower Dysart.

Fife Council have demolished a number of blocks in phase one that had been difficult to let.

Fife Housing Association intends to start work on phase 1 in Winter  2008 and the houses will be completed in Summer 2010.

Fife Housing Association and the Muir Group will continue to work closely with Fife Council to ensure our development programme ties in with the extensive civic and other works proposed as part of the Dysart Masterplan.

The proposed housing mix for the Fife  Housing Association site in Phase 1 will provide a range of 2 and 3 bedroom properties providing family houses, cottage flats, cottages and 1 wheelchair user designed house.
