Abbeyview
The Association continues our development activity in Abbeyview,
After the completion of 29 new homes in Tweed Street/Nith Street in February 2008, work started on the next phase at Allan Crescent/Ritchie Place on 20 August 2008.
This is the first mixed tenure development in Abbeyview and on 29 July 2008, 15 shared equity units were handed over to the Association for sale to first time buyers.
The Homestake units are aimed at providing individuals with an opportunity to gain access onto the property ladder. The housing mix is once again a mixure of two and three bedroom terraced, semi detached and detached houses. The second phase houses will be completed in September 2008.
Planning Applications will also be submitted shortly on the next phase in Abbeyview which will include housing specifically adapted for wheelchair users. These houses will also include renewable energy from heat pumps in an attempt to reduce both heating costs and carbon emissions.
Our developer partner Persimmon Partnerships has also now been granted Planning Consent for new housing in Trondheim Parkway.
