How Do I

Handle harassment

No-one should live in fear of harassment. We do not tolerate any form of harassment in Fife Housing Association communities. If you are being harassed, contact us immediately and let us know what is happening.

How will Fife Housing Association help me?

When you contact us, we will look at your problem immediately. We will take firm action against anyone who threatens the safety and security of our tenants, their homes or their neighbourhood. If you have been accused of harassment, you should cooperate fully with our enquiries. Both the accuser and the accused have the right to appeal against any decision they feel is unfair.

We endeavour to sensitively deal with all complaints of this nature.

Fife Housing Association Harassment procedure

Our commitment is to:

What happens next?

Depending on the situation, it may be necessary to involve the police or other agencies, who will be able to deal with the situation as appropriate.

Within the law, as laid out by the Race Relations Act 1976 (amended 2000) and the Anti-Social Behaviour Legislation, we can initiate eviction proceedings and anti-social behaviour orders, amongst other measures.
