About Us
Our Board
Improving our Communities
Our Board of Management are a dedicated bunch of elected volunteers who meet on a regular basis with the main aim of improving the living conditions of people in Fife.
Who are they?
Most of the Board Members are tenants of the Association, so they've got first hand experience of what tenants want and what tenants need. Some of our Board members have specialist knowledge of financial, legal or technical matters.
What do they do?
Board members are unpaid volunteers with responsibility for the overall standard and performance of the Association.
Reporting Back
At Board meetings, the Board request performance feedback from the professional staff, concentrating on a different area at each meeting. In addition to this, the Board keeps an eye on performance through annual Performance Reviews, which look back over the previous 12 months. Armed with this information, and with senior staff in attendance, the Board is well equipped to plan for the future.
Sharing information with other Housing Associations
Board members are active on national housing associations and contribute to national debates and conferences in order to share information on, and promote good practice in housing. There's a lot of work to be done, but it's a fulfilling job!
How do I get involved?
If you're interested in finding out more about becoming a Board Member, you should contact Member Services at our office. Board Members are elected at the Annual General Meeting, and any member of the Association can put their name forward for election. We welcome and encourage all tenant participation.
